February 23 at Curiosity Club: Luthier Jeffrey R. Elliott

Posted on 19 February 2016

Jeffrey R. Elliott's life has really been dedicated to one thing: the classical guitar. He learned to play when he was 16, went on to apprentice with Richard Schneider for six years, and then moved to Portland in 1976 for a life of restoring, writing, teaching, and making.

Elliott will join us Tuesday, February 23 at 6 pm PST.

One of America's foremost luthiers, his discussion is sure to cover a range of topics while highlighting his restoration of two important classical guitars: an 1869 Francisco Gonzalez and an 1888 Antonio de Torres.

Elliott finds time for some Curiosity Club discussion and Q&A among his busy schedule of magazine writing, lecturing for the Guild of American Luthiers, and working on his long list of commissions.

Join us for guitar talk and beer from Ft. George. If you can't make it, go to the Curiosity Club homepage to watch a live stream.
