Nigel Peake was born in Ireland and trained as an architect, before devoting his time to drawing (relentlessly) and travelling (almost as much). He has made his mark through a series of astonishing (and more often than not self-published) books on subjects such as sheds, buildings and ghost houses. While the artist himself has travelled extensively across Europe, both on his bike and on foot, his work also became known for travelling, through countries and across platforms, from the Lookbooks of luxury brand HermEs to magazines (The Believer, Blueprint, Icon, Dwell, The Ride, etc.), posters, windows, murals, accessories and even furniture. A monograph on his work will be published by Princeton Architectural Press in 2011.
