The Beer Peen Hammer

Sold Out

The Beer Peen hammer was inspired by an antique hammer with a suggestively missing middle. After unsuccessful fiddling, it was determined that the vintage tool's cut-out saved on metal but provided no drinking aid. But the good idea was born! The team at Good Beer Hunting designed and developed this neat tool as a real, functional ball peen hammer, paired with a real, functional bottle opener. After a long design process, where many prototyped models and drinks were likely cracked, a small run of the hammers was made in Chicago's Leitelt Brothers foundry.

The slim handle, tough cast bronze and double head makes for a super versatile small hammer. To make these unusual tools long-lasting and extra gift-worthy, they come with a leather tool loop and a custom waxed canvas bag made by Chicago's Stock Mfg Co. The modern update on the vintage design is rock solid, the bronze is tough as hell with a gorgeous almost-black oxidized finish, and the weight balance feels good in the hand. Keep in a kitchen drawer or in the top of your toolbox, for household fixes or precise work while machining. Most importantly, this super subtle multi-tool can chill on your workbench without making you look like a lush.
